Cindy Adzuki: Theremin Video #2
Narcissistic post here. :)
Can someone name that tune? Seriously, I lost the composer and title information from the midi file I'm playing against.

Hi Cindy, nice playing! I don't know what the name of that song is. I don't think I've ever heard it before (I'm not exactly a classical music afficianado.)
Thanks Shawn. When are you gonna record yourself, eh? If I recall correctly, you're pretty damn charismatic on stage. :)
How's the "Fire Exit" demo coming, BTW? How's research going? (I haven't heard from you in a few days...I hope everything is okay)
This is very cool. It doesn't seem like a versatile instrument, but useful for texture and effects in a larger production. I saw the keyboard player for Elvis Costello on Austin City Limits using something to similar effect, but it sat on top of his keyboard and did not have such a long, tall "wand" -- just a short rod jutting up from a box on top of the keyboard as I recall. But it was "played" the same way you played the theremin.
It doesn't have the ease of color and texture shading as a violin or singing would, but I have seen it used effectively with distortion and effects pedals live.
