Mellowdrone

I learned about these guys through a friend of mine and I definitely dug their sexy sensuous punk sound upon first hearing "Oh My." If you're yearning for something mellower, then there's "Orange Marmalage" and nice cover of "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye" both found on their MySpace. The point is, this is a group capable of producing a wide range of styles while maintaning a unified sound. Tucked in here and there are bursts of catchy guitar riffs and amazing solos which is to be expected considering, the frontman, Venezuelan-born Jonathan Bates (who received training at the Berkeley School of Music from age 17 to 20) is regarded as a guitar prodigy.
